Happy Tuesday, peeps!

This past weekend was INCREDIBLY exciting as, The Real Deal reached number 9 on the bestsellers chart for African-American Women’s Fiction. I am soooo grateful for everyone that’s checked it out, left reviews and ratings, spread the word, etc.

BUT today is even more exciting for other reasons as it represents ONE WHOLE YEAR since Attractions & Distractions: Sophomore Year was released!

Time has flown by, but that book – my second book baby – will always hold a special place in my heart.

So today, we celebrate with this Song of the Week. 🙂

Happy Monday, peeps!

I’m charging into the week with new energy now that my February release, The Real Deal, is finally out! But… of course there’s always more work to be done, especially when characters have been patiently waiting for their turn.

So this song tells a little more about where we are headed next. 🙂

OH! And by the way…. for those of you that are interested, I’ll be hanging out on Twitter tonight for this event! Come check it out!

SLAY the week. Forever and always. ❤

How can I teach children to dream if I’m not following my own?

How can I tell children they can be whatever they want to be if I’m not living to what I believe is my full potential?

How can I give my all to children who need that and more, when I’m not really sure of my own purpose?

Those are all questions that came to mind when I decided not to return to the field of teaching early childhood education.

Actually, it was a little more than that.

It’s a celebration!!

Today marks exactly one year since I released my very first novel, Attractions & Distractions: Freshman Year.

So crazy… so, so crazy.

But anyway… to celebrate, I selected one of my favorite songs from the Attractions & Distractions: Freshman Year playlist (available on Spotify).

Enjoy it. Attack the week. You were made for this! 🙂
